Steinway Art Case

Artwork
The
qualities of color, grain, relative cell transparency, and
unusual growth characteristics readily lend themselves to
artwork.
The "Flow
Pattern" my signature
technique, (actually a form of parquetry) takes advantage
of the directional nature of the grain and the luster
generated by the species selected.
Bookmatching
is
rarely done well. With care, heirloom quality furniture can
be made.
The
Steinway Art Case series of
pianos, perhaps the highest expression of this instrument,
is for veneer artists, the most prized commission
available. Three examples of my work are shown.
There are other techniques as well...
