"Tiger" Stand
Up Paddleboat, Cabinet Door Sample
2012
"Tiger" is a 14' Stand Up Paddleboat, here seen before the
application of the deck pad. It is comprised of Avodire and
Mahogany veneers,
with highlights in Cherry, Fumed Eucalyptus, Fiddleback
Maple, Quilted maple, and black-dyed Castello veneers. The
deck design and veneering was done
in my Northrup King studio. Assembly and finish were
completed by Madera Boardworks, Forest Lake, MN.
The Cabinet Door Sample has a field of flowing Mahogany
squares with an overlay grill of sand-shaded English
Sycamore. It is bordered
with walnut burl and has a solid Peruvian Walnut edge. 24"

This table was
inspired by a symmetrical classical Roman mosaic floor.
Veneers are fiddleback Maple, ribbon-stripe Sapele,
Ribbon-Stripe Mahogany, and black-dyed pearwood.
The top has 896 pieces, with edge of the same veneer as the
top.

St. Clement
Archaeological Society Raffle Winner,
2009
In 2009 I initiated a raffle for a custom table, with the
proceeds going to the St. Clement Archaeological Society.
The winners of the first year's raffle, Don & Patty
Schiffler
of St. Cloud, Minnnesota, asked for a hall table, 52" x 15"
x 29" high.
The center is an eight-piece bookmatch of Carpathian Elm
Burl surrounded by a 12-piece bookmatch of Black Walnut
Burl.
